If you ask me, grown-ups need bedtime stories just as much as children. In fact, I think we need them more. Adulthood responsibilities and worries make it harder for us to fall asleep at night. And yet, if we want to be our best, stay healthy, tackle our responsibilities and conquer our worries, we need good, restful sleep every night. See my blog post about The Importance of a Good Night’s Sleep…
So, I decided to record bedtime stories for myself, and make them available to my Patreon Supporters, too. I created this special page on my website to make it easier for Patreon Supporters to find the stories they want to listen to each night. So far, my favorite is Chapter 7 of Mrs. Essignton. I add more bedtime stories every month.
I recommend listening to these stories at a very low volume with in-ear, wireless T890 headphones with active noise cancellation. These headphones pair easily via Bluetooth to a smartphone. I like these headphones much better than the more expensive pair of noise cancelling headphones my husband bought me (Phiaton BT 220). The T890 headphone are less cumbersome and only have 3 buttons. (The ones my husband got me had so many different buttons it was hard to operate them in bed, in the dark.) The noise cancellation feature reduces ambient noise that might otherwise wake you after the story ends.
